Quick Healthy Breakfast

Sometimes I am shocked at how easy and delicious healthy eating can be.

1/4 cup quick oats oatmeal
1/2 frozen overripe banana chopped - I let bananas ripen and keep them cup in halves in a gallon bag in the freezer and use in many different ways to sweeten dishes in  a healthy way
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
1 tbsp. chopped walnuts
a few almonds
1 tbsp. chopped pecans
about a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
sprinkle of salt

microwave about a minute and a half and enjoy! I threw in what nuts and fruits I had at the house but it can be just as healthy and easily done with whatever berries or mixed nuts you may have hanging around your kitchen!

The staples:
-1/4 quick oats
-sprinkle of salt
- about a cup of almond milk, skim milk, soy milk (whichever is preferred)

variations I have tried and enjoyed - apples, peaches, blueberries, powdered peanut butter, almond butter, cinnamon, pistachios, mixed trail mixes, dark chocolate covered nuts or dried fruits, sunflower seeds... the list goes on and on!
if you like a creamer oatmeal without actually adding cream try a spoonful or two of your favorite yogurt!
