Banana “Ice cream”
2 ½ cups of overripe frozen banana chopped (the more rip the sweeter it will be)
¼ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (you could use soy milk, regular almond milk or skim milk)
Blend up in a blender or food processer and enjoy!
Peanut Butter and Spice Banana “Ice Cream”
2 ½ cups overripe frozen banana chopped
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
3 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
½ tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp salt¼ tsp. nutmeg
Blend up in the Blender or food processor and enjoy!
Yogurnana “Ice Cream”
I do this at least weekly to satisfy my “fro-yo” or actual ice cream cravings.
Take a ½ over ripe frozen banana chop it up in a mug. Add a spoon full or two of your favorite yogurt. Mix it up in your mug and enjoy. I also sometimes add a splash of kefir, almond milk or vanilla extract. You could also try different toppings like chopped fruits, mixed nuts, cocoa powder, powdered peanut butter, actually peanut butter or granola.
